METAFORA DAN METONIMI  PADA WAKA KARYA OGURA HYAKUNIN ISSHU : KAJIAN LINGUISTIK KOGNITIF

Abstract

The aims of this study are Identifying the linguistic form of figurative language of the metaphor and metonymy of Waka Ogura Hyakunin Isshu; Identifying types of metaphor in Waka Ogura Hyakunin Isshu; and Identifying the contiguity relationship of metonymy style in Waka Ogura Hyakunin Isshu. The data in this study were gained from 4 poems in Waka Ogura Hyakunin Isshu. The metaphor and metonymy in this research was analyzed using a cognitive linguistic approach, namely by identifying the types of metaphor and the contiguity relationship of metonymy.

Based on the results of data analysis in this study, it can be found 4 datas of metaphor and metonymy contained in 4 poems of Ogura Hyakunin Isshu: (a) form of of figurative language of metaphor and metonymy both are consisting 8 datas, (b) type of metaphor consisting of 5 conceptual, 2 metaphor ontological, 1 orientational metaphors, and (c) the contiguity relationship of metonymy consist of 6 items of whole and spatial part relationship and 1 item of cause and effect relationship.
