Abstract

This study examines how Japanese culture is represented in the anime Doraemon: Nobita no Getsumen Tansaki through Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic approach. Using a qualitative descriptive method, the analysis was conducted on anime scene fragments reflecting cultural values ​​such as mamori jikan, wa, aisatsu, ojigi, ninjo, giri, ofuro, ganbaru, and omotenashi. The results show that this anime explicitly and implicitly reflects Japanese cultural values ​​that are closely related to the lives of modern Japanese society.
